Travelling from Ocho Rios or the surrounding areas we travel east bound along the north coast towards Portland. An average three hours drive you will get to know Jamaica from its heartland with a scenic drive through the hills and valleys of St. Mary and Portland.

Travelling this route you will be able to see various agricultural properties, especially sugar cane fields and banana plantations. Before going up river we will stop at rafters rest and make arrangement for the rafts. The raft ride takes about two to three hours, depending on your entry point. On your journey down you will see vendors positioned along the river bank selling drinks. Your river ride will end at Rafters rest, where we had stopped to arrange the rafts.
